Delivery Information

How much do you charge for delivery?
Delivery charge for 1 – 4 pack orders is £80.00 + VAT per pack. If your order is outside our standard, green, delivery zone, it is £120+VAT per pack.
Delivery charge for orders of 5 packs or more is charged £295.00 + VAT per order. If your delivery address is outside of our standard delivery area, please click on the “save and share cart” button at the bottom of the check-out and complete your order details. Your cart will be emailed to our sales team and they will be in touch shortly with the total cost of your order and estimated delivery date after review of your order. 
What sort of vehicle will my order be delivered on?

Our hauliers’ fleet varies from tail lift lorries to large arctic heavy good vehicles, therefore road access and weight limits need to be considered. It is important that delivery address can be accessed by a 10-26 tonne lorry.

Orders of 4 packs or less are delivered on a tail lift lorry and offloaded using a manual pump truck, kerbside delivery.

Orders of 5 packs or more will usually be delivered on a crane off-load vehicle unless particularly difficult to access. Please see exclusions below in “where do you deliver” section.


All products delivered by Building Materials Wholesale will be delivered to kerb side. Once the driver is at the delivery address, he will let the customer know if it is physically possible to move bricks elsewhere i.e. onto the drive way, around the back etc. If it is physically impossible to leave them exactly where you want them, they will be unloaded at the nearest access point by the kerb outside the delivery address. Please note, to unload and move bricks around on a pump truck, a flat concrete road surface is required, pump truck CAN NOT be used on soil, grass and gravel roads and these lorries can not be unloaded if the road or the driveway is on the slope as the tail of the lorry has to be parallel to the ground surface.

An exception is the use of vehicle mounted crane, customer is required to provide all necessary labour, equipment and space required to unload materials.

The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate access for the delivery and must advise of any restrictions which may result in an unsuccessful delivery. An additional haulage charge will be applied and payable by the customer if the delivery cannot be completed due to accessibility and lack of space and your items have to be redelivered or diverted to a different address.


We can deliver to all areas highlighted in “Green” colour in the map below. We cover most parts of the country, except islands.

Please note, crane offload delivery cannot be guaranteed to Cornwall and Scotland, it depends on hauliers’ availability. If a crane mounted lorry is not available for a longer period of time, another vehicle type will be organised, or if a crane lorry is necessary, it can be potentially sourced from elsewhere but will incur additional transport costs and cause delays in delivery. 


Order lead times depend on purchased products, their availability, the amount required and delivery location. It varies between 2 to 10 working days, but it takes 3-5 working days most often. Once the order has been placed, a member of staff will then be in contact to confirm a delivery date.

We advise that customers wait for their goods to be delivered before arranging work to be undertaken. Building Materials Wholesale may not be held liable for any failure to deliver by any stated time or date or any consequential loss resulting from late delivery.

Cut Off Time and Working Days Explained

Deliveries are made on working days only. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are classed as working days with the exception of public and bank holidays. All orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on Monday.

Our order processing cut off time is 11 am, i.e. if an order is placed on Monday at 2pm for 3-5 working days delivery, the order most likely will arrive between Thursday the same week and Monday the following week.


Please bear in mind, all amendments to the delivery or the delivery address, once the haulage company collects the goods, may result in additional fees, i.e. refused delivery, except if the goods are faulty or not the ones ordered; redirection to a different location rather than the one provided at the time of the order; rescheduled delivery if rescheduled once the driver is already on the way; delivery that can not be completed due to accessibility will be classed as a wasted journey; excessive time driver is held on site will also be charged.
